Cobh Adult Learning Centre is currently looking for volunteer tutors to provide one to one literacy tuition to adults. Cobh Adult Learning Centre provides Adult Basic Education to men and women who have difficulty with reading, writing, spelling, maths and basic computer skills. We are calling for volunteer tutors to give two hours a week, of their own time, to provide help to adults with literacy difficulties.
Volunteer Tutors are from a wide range of backgrounds. All volunteer tutors will be provided with initial training prior to commencing tuition with a student. Training will start in September 2016.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a literacy tutor or register for Volunteer Tutor Training, please contact Tracy Kearney in Cobh Adult Learning Centre, 086 823 8772 or email tracy.kearney@corketb.ie
