Big congratulations to our Junior Captain Chloe Smith who was part of the Cork Junior camogie team who won the Munster Final in Limerick on Sunday 8th May. The girls beat Clare on a score line of 1-11 to 0-8. Congrats Chloe!

Huge numbers are turning out each Sunday morning to our underage training for u8,9,10,11,12’s. These teams will be beginning league and blitz tournaments over the next few weeks with the u9 and 11’s travelling to Glen Rovers on Sunday 15th May. Thanks to all the older players who come along each week and help the coaches with the training.

The u12 team are continuing their preparation for the league and the improvement in skills is evident from week to week. This group of girls are a very committed team and represent the club with pride. They finished their preparations for the league with a win over Midleton in a challenge match in on May the 6th. Both teams displayed great skills on the night. The team now faces a strong Douglas team in the first round of the league.

Our u14’s took part in the Feile Competition on 30th April beating Castlemartyr in the opening round. They now face Bishopstown in the league on Thursday the 12th May.

The u16 girls are also continuing preparation for the championship and showed some good form in the league.

The Minor team drew against St Vincent’s in the quarter final of the league. They are also busy taking part in an inter club blitz on Monday nights with the final taking place in Cobh in July. A lot of these girls are also an integral part of our adult /Junior team.

The Junior team got their season off to a great start with two wins over Ballincollig and Sarsfields. This team is an example of how the dedication of coaches and mentors over the last few years is now placing the club in a strong position at adult level. They face Glen Rovers and Carrigaline over the next week in the final group stages of the league.

Finally the club would like to thank all those who helped recently with the Great Island 10 and also to members of our u16/minor team who took part in the run.
