Springfield Ramblers Match Reports
Leeside 0 Springfield Ramblers 0
A terrific end to the season in a well contested match against the league leaders. Man of the match Sean Damery including one double save that was brilliant!
A solid defensive display. Tenacious midfield, dangerous attack force and a motivated squad leaves us in good spirits for the future.
Special thanks for the season to all the players, parents & our coaches Marc & Ross O’Donovan Wyatt , Des Walsh , Sean Quinn & Dan Wyatt

Not much to report about this game only that we didn’t show up, and were well beaten on the day. Special callout to Dean O Leary who never gave up working hard all game.

Grenagh United 7-1 Springfield Ramblers A
This week, due to international duty, our depleted band of merry men had an early start as we made the long journey to Grenagh. Unfortunately we left our bog snorkelling gear at home and it was a catastrophic mistake by the management.
After a difficult first half, which saw us concede several goals and have to rescue many players stranded in mud, we scavenged some flippers and goggles at half time so the lads were able to improve their performance and showed great determination to produce flashes of the brilliance they are capable of.
The highlight of the game was the bullet scored in the top corner by free kick specialist Killian ‘Sanchez’ O’Connell.
The character of the team shone through in the second half, especially those playing in unfamiliar positions. Sultan ‘Aguero’ Adebayo showed great potential in goal, while defenders Darragh ‘Ozil’ O’Regan, Luke ‘Modric’ Ahern, Patrick ‘Pepe’ Roche and Conor ‘Khedira’ Kidney magnificent in defence. Midfielders Ronan ‘Ramos’ O’connor, Paul ‘Messi’ Murphy, Eoin ‘Keano’ Curry and Killian ‘Sanchez’ O’Connell passed and moved to great effect while Jake ‘Suarez’ Sawani gave every ounce of his being to the cause as usual.
Man of the match was ‘Sanchez’ O’Connell whose free kick will live long in the memory of the full house in attendance. So he received his Sorrentos sponsored man of the match Tiki Taco fries from captain fantastic ‘Pepe’ Roche.
THANKS TO SORRENTOS FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE MAN OF THE MATCH PRIZE FOR OUR PLAYERS.
On the mighty Rams……
