Reach Your Potential – A Week of Opportunities with SECAD
Monday 23rd to Friday 27th March – 10.00 am to 12.00 pm daily
South & East Cork Area Development (SECAD) is organising a series of ‘Opportunities Mornings’ during the week of 23rd March throughout the SECAD area. The purpose of the events is to highlight the opportunities available to people in their local area in terms of education, training, employment & enterprise options.
Visitors to the events will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from key agencies who can take them through their options whether the person wants to go back to work, re-train, return to education or learn about starting a business.
Agencies will include: Dept of Social Protection, Cork Education & Training Board, Cork Training Centre, Cork City & County Volunteer Centre, Cork Chamber of Commerce Skillnets, Employability and SECAD.
Support organisations including MABS and Shine will also be in attendance.
Each event will start at 10.00 am so that visitors can talk to agency personnel on the stands. At 11.00 am, a representative from SECAD will welcome everyone and give a brief outline about the supports available in each area. Following that, a guest motivational Speaker will peak our interest for about 35 – 40 minutes, concluding with a short Q&A session. As usual, the theme of the guest talk will be around setting goals, self-motivation and how to move forward with confidence.
The dates and locations for the events are; Monday, 23rd March – Cobh; Tuesday, 24th March – Youghal; Wednesday, 25th March – Carrigaline; Thursday, 26th March – Midleton; Friday, 27th March – Ballincollig.
Anyone interested in attending should contact Kieran or Sinéad in SECAD at 021 4613432 on info@secad.ie for more information and to reserve a place.
