Under 14 Premier
Wilton United 0-5 Springfield Ramblers
After absorbing some early pressure Springfield Ramblers defence held firm. The lead finally came after 20 mins of the 1st half with a fine headed goal from Dara O’Connell. Jamie Bates made a great save to maintain the lead before Cian O’Rourke completed the clearance. There was some great football played by us in the first half creating a number of chances however Wilton’s keeper made some fine saves.
Springfield Ramblers upped the tempo even more in the 2nd half and dominated completely scoring a further 4 goals. Outstanding team performance with both Eoin Kelly and Emeka Asigeabu being best on the day.
Goals from Dara O’Connel 2, Tom Gill, Lewis Whelan and Miky Foley 1 each.

Leeside 1-1 Springfield Ramblers
Leeside won 5-4 on penalties
Disappointing game for the u12’s. There was nothing between the two teams for the first 20 mins, but rams scored when a shot on goal was spilled by the keeper and tapped in by Jake Ryan. For the remainder of the 1st half it was all rams but a second goal didn’t come. For the 2nd half springers had most of the possession but Leeside scored from a poorly conceded corner and raised their game to hold on well for extra time. Extra time was more of the same leading to the inevitable shootout. One to bounce back from, forget, and concentrate on the league.

Under 12 Division 5
Springfield Ramblers A 5-3 Ballinhassig
Fortress John Murphy Memorial Park was the venue for the latest instalment in the crazy gang adventure where the home team took on the might of Ballinhassig.

This was a goal fest and the huge crowd in attendance went through the full range of emotions as the crazy gang hassled the ‘hassig throughout.
Jake ‘Suarez’ Sawani (2) and match ball winner Sultan ‘Aguero’ Adebayo (3) showed there really is no substitute for speed, power skill and brains as they feasted on the glut of chances created by midfield maestros Sean ‘Real Deal’ Devlin, Paul ‘Messi’ Murphy, Brian ‘Dynamo’ Dwyer and Charlie ‘CR7’ O’Regan. And the half time introduction of Liam ‘Chippy’ O’Flaherty ensured the supply maintained for the full hour.
A dangerous Ballinhassig side managed 3 goals of their own but the young Rams showed great maturity in adapting to quench the threat and the defence of Patrick ‘Pepe’ Roche, Conor ‘Khedira’ Kidney, Ben ‘the Kaiser’ Kennedy and Daniel ‘Agger O’Sullivan were magnificent.
There was a man of the match performance by goalkeeper Jake ‘Courtois’ Kennedy who showed agility and bravery that Spiderman can only dream of. So he received his Sorrentos sponsored man of the match Tiki Taco fries from captain fantastic ‘Khedira’ Kidney.

Under 13 Division 1
