On February 16th last Cobh Tidy Towns passed a resolution asking for a ban on all election and referendum posters on Great Island. We are following the lead of other tourist towns such as Killarney, Clonakilty and Blarney. Cobh Tidy Towns contends that Election Posters are a blight on the landscape and streetscape, are unnecessary and are a drain on scarce resources.
We are asking all political parties and other relevant organisations to observe our request.
