mainiClass Concerts: All classes have been working very hard over the last few weeks in preparation for the annual Christmas Concerts. They perform for each other on Wednesday 17th and for their families on Thursday 18th December. Many thanks to parents for helping out with the costumes!

Stamps for the Missions: As usual, at this time of year particularly with all the Christmas Cards and New Year cards arriving in the post we ask people to hold on to the used stamps and send them into Mr. McSweeney’s 3rd Class. Please ensure that some of the envelope is left around the stamp. We collect used stamps on a weekly basis in the school and deliver them to the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, Limerick, who use them to raise funds for their missions.

Cathedral Evening Prayer Services for Advent: Three of our pupils from Mr Fleming’s Rang a Sé have been taking part in these prayer services during the Sundays of Advent. They are Jakub Kupidura, Lee Morley & Conor Clancy . A very special word of thanks to Sr. Emmanuel for preparing them.

School Carol/Prayer Service: During the last week the school will hold a carol service for all classes. Readings and carols are prepared beforehand so pupils can take a full part in the services on the lead up to Christmas.

School Choir: Pupils from 4th, 5th & 6th classes are performing at concerts in the lead up to Christmas—Cobh Lion Club Christmas Concert at the Heritage Centre and at the AIB Cobh Branch. They were very well prepared by Ms. Goggin, who also conducts the choir, Mr. O’Loingsigh, Mr. Kenneally & Mr. McSweeney.

Christmas Raffle: Our raffle this year is in aid of ‘An Droichead’, our ASD Unit. Support will be greatly appreciated.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all those associated with the school a happy and holy Christmas. Beannachtaí na Nollag agus na hAthbhliana oraibh go léir!
