Waterford United ended their losing streak with two one win over Cobh in the RSC on Friday night.

Second half goals from Thomas Croke and Mark Walsh were enough to cancel Kevin Burns own goal early in the first half, as the Blues took all three points in their final home game of the 2014 campaign.

Cobh took the lead on twelve minutes. After fumbling the originally shot, from ex Blue Stephen Kenny, Kevin Burns pushed the ball into his own net, as he tried to claim the ball on the second attempt.

The Blues drew level on seventy four minutes when Thomas Croke fired home from close range. Following a Brian Nolan from the left, Croke latched onto the end of the cross to fire home into David Browne’s bottom right corner .

Mark Walsh sent the Blues into the lead on eight seven minutes, when Thomas Croke played an excellent ball to split the Cobh back four. After a mix up between Browne and his defender, Walsh nipped into to find the back of the net from twenty five yards.
