Computer Courses
The Library is offering a computer courses for beginners which will be beginning on Thursday, September 18th and running for 16 weeks, 1pm to 3pm. This course is coming to us through FÁS and is free of charge. It will cover surfing the web, online shopping and banking, use of email and all the basics.
Horror Fans
Cobh Library member, Liam O’Leary, has the distinction of recently being appointed a Darren Shan ambassador. As part of his role Liam has a limited number of paper copies of ZOM-B Circus to give away, this is otherwise only available as an eBook. If you would like one of these email cobh.library@corkcoco.ie as to exactly why you should be so privileged – “Darren Shan is a Master of Horror because ….. “
Creative Writing
The library currently has a creative writers group, a knitters group (“Knit and Knatter”), a book club and lace makers meeting regularly. If you would like to learn more about what members get up to contact staff at 4811130 or cobh.library@corkcoco.ie
A 16 metre snake (Monty) is currently loose in the library, he was created by the knitters and hasn’t been responsible for any deaths yet.
