Following on from the massively successful inaugural Fota Island Challenge Series Sprint Duathlon, the second event in the ongoing Fota Island Challenge Series takes place on Wednesday June 11th next.
This next Challenge Series event is a forest trail run, a 5k trail run through wooded areas around the Resort, and an event that participants can run, jog or walk. With a fee of ?10, the race begins at 7.30 p.m. sharp, and competitors need to arrive at registration with a completed registration form, downloadable from www.fotaisland.ie and with registration open from 5.15 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the day.
With between 300 to 500 competitors expected, this will be a fun event for those taking part, with an expected duration of about 40 minutes. For those who take their trail running even more seriously, there is also the opportunity to take part in a 10k version of the trail on the same day, at the same time, with a ?15 fee ? again, the completed registration form is required, available to download on www.fotaisland.ie
