Everton (0) v Springfield Ramblers (2)
This was a very tough match on a very difficult slippery surface. SR started well and were comfortably on top for the first 20 minutes or so, before Jake Ryan scored 2 great goals finishing well just before half time. The second half Everton came out strongly and caused Springers a lot of difficulty in midfield, attacking well, with a number of chances coming close. Springfield held out well though and were unlucky not to get another two in the final 10 minutes. A great performance from all the lads who all worked hard for each other. MOTM Jake Ryan who worked his socks off from start to finish.

Gary Comerford 15 Premier
Corinthian Boys (6) v Springfield Ramblers (0)
The score line didn’t reflect the solid play by the lads who faced this unbeaten Corinthians Boys team. Best on the day were Alex Ryan and George Keating.

U12 Local Cup
Springfield Ramblers B (3) v Leeside (4)
This was a hard fought cup match which saw Cobh take a 2-1 lead in the first half. Two well taken goals one by John Breen and the other by Luke Callaghan set the pace with Leeside scoring 1. The back four of Hugh Scannell, Jack Hallahan, Eoin Hovells and Jordan Dunphy performed brilliantly against a team a division ahead of them. Second half started well with John Breen scoring another great goal, but Leeside fought back scoring one good goal and a well taken penalty to level the game and take it to extra time. Evenly matched all the way with some outstanding saves by Ben Barret it looked certain for penalties. However Leeside broke quick and scored the winner with two minutes left on the clock. Heart break for Cobh but congratulations to Leeside.

Best of the day were Jordan Dunphy, John Breen, Ben Barret, Luke Callaghan, Eoin Hovells and Callum Cullnane ,with a man of the match performance by Emmet Duvan who covered every blade of grass.

U14 Local Cup – Match of the Week
Kilreen Celtic (1) v Springfield Ramblers (6)
Great result for the lads away to Kilreen today. It was a solid and good performance by the team as a whole. Goals were scored by Luqman Abu (5) and 1 by Corey Griffin. Man of the match goes to Luqman who had an outstanding game today.
