Something magnificent and extraordinary is happening at Fota Island Resort this Christmas. Peter Kelly aka ‘Franc’ is creating a world of festive wonder at the 5-star resort in his own inimitable and stylish way!

Under his uniquely creative eye the elves are busy preparing for the arrival of a certain gentleman in red, and the enchanting, fairytale transformation to make a dream Christmas a real experience is well underway.

The gorgeous woodlands at Fota Island Resort will be transformed by Franc and his magical helpers into a winter wonderland, called ‘Believe’ at Fota Island Resort’, a dramatic and exciting Christmas experience for the whole family, and the first of its kind and scale for this part of the world.

This is a brand new and breathtaking version of Santa’s grotto, undertaken with Franc’s inventive flair and passion for drama. The adventure begins with a traditional glass of mulled wine for the grown-ups and a wander through the courtyard Christmas market, chock full of stalls with the best of local and regional goodies, where you can taste, sample and buy the most delicious festive treats and handmade gifts for under the tree.

Next comes a magical journey through the enchanted woods on the little train, guided on board by Mrs. Claus and minded along the way by the elves! There is entertainment all around, as the little train weaves through the woodland, and you disembark at the end of the journey at the gate into Santa’s grotto, which opens into a snow-filled woodland, where the snow and the music and the sparkling lights add even more to the excitement!

Guided through this Narnia-like dream world by the elves, you finally get to meet the man himself and share your Christmas wishes, while he checks his list twice and decides who?s been naughty or nice. With a great sackful of gifts, Santa Claus will make sure every child takes home a treat, and every member of the family will enjoy the memory of this special Christmas experience.

‘Believe at Fota Island Resort’ opens on 27th November and runs right through until Christmas Eve.
