Adventure Athlete & Ocean Rower Mike Jones To Arrive Home To Cobh Today
On June 4th this year, local man Mike Jones set off from Cobh in an attempt to Sea Kayak Solo Around Ireland in under 35 days to raise funds for Lauralynn House and Sunshine House.. In order to achieve this he would need to cover an average of 30 miles per day which would entail spending a gruelling 12 hours a day in his Sipre Murano Evo Kayak which was also carriying all of his essential equipment and kit needed for the journey and up to 10 days food supply. During his amazing journey he has encountered Whales, Winds and Storms.
Today, 13th June should, with good wind, see Mike arrive back in Cobh sometime this evening. You can follow Mike’s progress at www.mikejones.ie
