The club will be running a barbeque on Saturday night for players, friends and family with a good night guaranteed in the clubhouse afterwards. Bouncy castles, tugs of war and lots of other fun activities will be running all weekend as well as food and drinks in the bar.
Here’s how to register:
A maximum of twenty teams can enter the competition. Team captains will need to assemble their squads as follows: Team captains must assemble 10 players (captain plus nine others). Each squad can only have four experienced male players (i.e. any male player who has played rugby at U19 or adult level for two or more seasons) the squad must have a minimum of three ladies. The rest of each squad will be made up of non-rugby players (male or female). The organisers of the tag competition will make the determination about a player’s classification (i.e. non-rugby versus rugby).
The closing date for team registration is Friday July 1st at 18:00. Team captains must register their team by e-mailing piratestagrugby@hotmail.com A maximum of twenty teams can be accommodated in the competition, if the number of registrations exceeds twenty then twenty teams will be selected at random by drawing from a hat.
Once the twenty teams are selected each team will be notified and will be asked for an entry fee of €200 (twenty euro per player). Teams can present used mobile phones as part of their entry fee, a discount of €5 will be applied for every phone presented. Each team will then be provided with a team pack containing their fixtures, the competition rules, vouchers for the tag barbeque, drinks vouchers and free admission to the clubhouse on Saturday night 23rd.
