Cobh Pirates U 11’s at Naas RFC Festival

Cobh Pirates under 11’s took part in the annual Joe Moran festival of rugby at Naas RFC on Saturday last April 16th. Pirates’ were drawn in group five along with Barnhall (Maynooth), Old Christians, Port Laoise, and Cashel.
This was a very competitive tournament with outstanding displays from all teams. Having beaten Barnhall, Old Christians and Port Laoise, the Pirates’ youngsters lost by the narrowest of margins, to a Cashel try, in the last minute of a match, which Cobh should really have won. The tournament provided a fitting end to the season for this very talented and dedicated group of pirates.
Worthy of special mention for some outstanding performances on the day are Cathal O’ Dea, Alex Mulligan, Danny Sheehan, Bobby Kahn, Cian Walker, Kevin Murphy, Zac Devlin, and Charlie Rasmussen.
