South of Ireland Omni court open Championships 2011
The first big tournament of the 2011 Tennis calendar in Munster will take place over the Easter Holiday period in Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. The South of Ireland Omni Court open Championships starts on Thursday evening 21st April and finishes with finals day on Easter Monday 25th April.
A very popular tournament over the years with approx 250 players participating in 200 games it’s guaranteed to be a very busy and action packed bank holiday weekend. Participants return each year from around the country as well as the top players from all over Munster to enjoy this very successful annual event. Recently Niamh Coveney and Lynsey McCullough who have represented Ireland in the Federation Cup have played in this tournament.
Spectators are most welcome to come out and witness some of the best senior players in Munster playing for the coveted titles. Full catering facilities are available on site throughout the weekend so do come along and enjoy the tennis.
