On Saturday 19th March two of Cobh’s finest Ambassadors worked flat out selling Cobh to the people of Dublin 15 at the Cobh Tourism Promotional stand in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. From 9 am to 6 pm Jim O’Rourke and Ursula Duffy distributed 3000 promotional leaflets packed with special offers for visitors to Cobh between Mid April and the end of May. They also collected 500 Contact sheets from shoppers eager to win a weekend for two in the Commodore Hotel and Family passes to Cobh Heritage Centre.

The reaction to what Cobh has to offer the visitor was very encouraging. Blanchardstown Shopping Centre was teeming with shoppers and amongst them was former Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan who dropped by the stand for a chat and to pose for a photograph.
